ActionProducts is not attending the NAB Show in Las Vegas this year (2013). However our reseller and service partner for Germany  “Gecko-Cam)” will be showing our accessory program and some new products on their booth at the Bavarian Pavilion. Booth C8839.

The +1 Module Adapter is now online for preorder. Shipment will start right after Easter holidays.
The picture shows the final products un-adnodized. It is now in process to get its black (perl mate) anodization.

Specifications:

Adapter Plate for the RED Epic +1 Module. It allows you to safely mount our module system using the +1 module from RED.
- Offers four standard placed M4 treads so you can also use it fort other third party products that need these for mounting.
- The mini TopPlate allows you to mount the adapter using the top treads of the +1 module. No manipulation of the +1 module is required.
- Covers all cables coming from the AP “Apollo” TopPlate
- Made of 7075 Airspace Aluminum

The pictures of the stage show the function of the 2 step stage. Basically the stage it self allows you to mount your own mounting plate. On the one example you see a ARRI dowetail (AP Arri Adapter Plate – optional*) mounted directly to the stage. This allows you to move the camera from you rig to the tripod very fast.
On the other example you see the clamp adapter (optional*) mounted. this gives you the same ability to mount a regular dovetail like on other stabilizing systems.

The photos you see here are showing the pre-series arm. Some details will be slitely different in look (even better) then shown here. Changes are:

- The gray caps are a bit smaler and with matched design to the arm shells
- The arm shells will have a “silk like” mate anodization (not shiny like here)
- Some smaller design changes

The Raptor has been in development and testing now for almost 2 years and is now going in production. We consider it as a professional light weight rig especially designed for second and third generation of digital cinema cameras and all cameras in this weight range.

We will be introducing the Raptor as a second product line next to our Rebel series. However the raptor series is almost fully compatible to our Rebel rigs and therefore reflects our unique modularity perfectly.

The video shown on this post was made last year at NAB with a prototype of the raptor. Photos and more information will follow soon here on this Blog.

Specifications (standard configuration)

Arm: Dual segment arm up to 28 lbs* (ca. 12.7 kg) load capacity**. 37″ (96cm) lift. With high precision milled airspace aluminium (out of one solid block), 24 bearings, industry standard connector.
* a optional 35 lbs (15.8 kg) heavy duty spring-package will be available

Post: 2″ (50mm) carbon fibre main tube. 1.8″ (35mm) carbon fibre extension tube. 15mm carbon fibre horizontal rods (either standard 60mm spacing or optional studio 100mm spacing). Rods can be fully tilted for extra adjustment possibilities. All aluminum parts milled out of airspace aluminium. Two swivels for battery mount and monitor mount.

Stage: New kind of “2 step” stage. Highly precise milled for/aft adjustable construction. Top of stage is designed to either mount a dovetail (like a ARRI style dovetail) directly onto it – allowing extremely quick mounting and removing of the camera (basically like on a tripod) or a clamp-adapter giving you the same slide-on ability as on a regular stage.

Gimbal: Fully milled (airspace aluminium) construction. All axis with bearings.

Power: Various power options. V-Mount or AB battery plate – with swivel for tilting. 1x D-Tap, 1x main power connection (8pin LEMO connector with separate power strings for camera and accessories and battery information), 1x 2pin LEMO accessory Power, 1x 2pin Fischer 5V accessory Power*. A second battery module can be added. 24V option (though “SwapPack”) is possible.

35lb BackMounted Vest: Backmounted Vest with industry standard connector. Folded and milled aluminum construction.

Monitor: Not included. Various options will be available. Though the open construction of the post almost all monitor variations (HDMI, HD-SDI, RED specific connection …) can be used.
